A heart-centered, 8-Session Journey to your new recorded song

From "Seed" to Studio

Most people carry a song inside them for decades. They have fragments in journals and voice memos, but the gap between a "seed" and a "professional record" feels too wide to cross.

Song Bridge is designed to bridge that gap. This is not a high-pressure "shredder" camp. It is a nurturing, small-group program for adults who want to honor their stories through music.

Record Where Legends Were Made

London Bridge Studio is a legendary Seattle-area recording studio dating back to 1985. It is the creative home for artists like Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews and Alice in Chains.

As part of the Studio Tier, you will experience the London Bridge Capstone: A professional recording session with the option to be supported by Dave and a pro house band.

How It Works (April 18 – June 13)

Guitarist Writing Song

The Momentum.

We start with a few weekly sessions to build momentum, then shift to give you more time to write, practice, and refine. In-between, Dave hosts optional Zoom calls to help you get unstuck.

The Result

You'll walk away with a fully realized, professionally recorded version of your song and a convenient 'Songwriter’s Toolkit' for the future

By the end, you’ll have:

  • Your very own song with a clear emotional center

  • A process for writing and recording more songs

  • A simple, studio-friendly plan (tempo, key, form, dynamics, references)

  • More trust in your instincts - and a clear way to keep writing after this program ends

If you choose a studio tier, you’ll also get:

  • A real recording experience at London Bridge Studio with a supportive team

  • A baseline mix you can listen to, share privately, or build on

Composing Music Notes

Lifetime access to course resources

Once you register for Song Bridge, you’ll receive the following courses which include helpful videos and PDF lessons that are yours to keep forever.

🎧 - Studio Checklist - what to bring + how to prepare

📓 - Dave’s Lyric Hacks - the handful of moves I return to again and again

🧠 - Mental Prep for Songwriting & Recording (how to address nerves, perfectionism, self-talk)

🎙️ - Learn to Love Your Voice mini-course - video lessons to help you love your own voice a little bit more each day

A note about sharing and privacy

You don’t have to share your song with anyone.

Your studio session is private - just you, me, and the engineer at London Bridge. You can make something meaningful simply because it matters to you.

If you do want to share, we’ll help you choose a path that fits your goals and your comfort level: an open mic, a private listening party, or a release on Bandcamp / Spotify / wherever you want it to live.

About Me - Dave Hill Jr.

I’m a songwriter, performer, and Master Coach based in the Seattle area. I’ve been an executive in the music technology world (Ableton and iZotope), and I’m also the author of Doubt Riding Shotgun, a book about making peace with self-doubt and staying connected to what matters creatively.

In my own music, I write piano-driven, soul-infused songs about love, grief, family, and second chances — and I’m committed to releasing new songs regularly as a practice of creative courage. My teaching style is practical, warm, and focused on helping you finish the thing you came to make.

FAQ

Q - Do I need any previous experience writing songs?

A - No. You have a lifetime of listening to music already and bring your unique life experience into this course.

Q - Do I need to be a musician?

A - Nope. We believe you can begin learning an instrument at any age but that you can write a song without knowing an instrument.

Q - What if I miss a class?

A - All classes will be recorded and shared on a private Youtube link within 48-hours. Please try and attend all classes in person if possible as this course is designed to be experienced as a group.

Q - Are there makeup classes?

A - No, but if you have a question or need support, you can try to connect with Dave before the next group class to get caught up.

Q - Is there additional support you can get on your songwriting journey?

A - Yes! Jam Academy is offering Song Bridge participants special pricing on voice, piano & drum lessons. You can also purchase additional songwriting support coaching with Dave.

Q - Will I really write a song?

A - Ultimately, it's up to you, but if you show up, we are certain that you will come away with something you are proud of.
